WMX Championship Update: Jordan Jarvis Battles Injury After Crash
Fox Raceway, CA – The Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) witnessed a dramatic turn of events during round two as Jordan Jarvis faced a harrowing crash. After securing third place in the opening round at Fox Raceway, Jarvis encountered misfortune on the first lap of round two. She was unable to navigate a crucial uphill triple, leading to a collision with another competitor who landed directly on her.
Despite the severity of the crash, which circulated widely on social media, Jarvis demonstrated remarkable resilience by returning to the track for the second moto, finishing in sixth position. Post-race comments revealed her injuries, primarily from severe road rash.
“I’m alright—very sore but relatively okay,” Jarvis stated. “Unfortunately, the girl behind me didn’t notice I had checked up, and she landed right on me. Most of the pain is from the bad road rash, but it’s gnarly.”
As she prepares for round three at Thunder Valley this weekend, Jarvis will contend with a broken finger, adding to the challenges faced by title contenders. Fellow competitor Charli Cannon also enters the race with a similar injury following surgery before round one.
After Thunder Valley, the WMX will pause before the final three rounds of Pro Motocross, allowing both riders necessary recovery time.
Key Stats:
- Round Two Finish: 6th Place (after crash)
- Round One Finish: 3rd Place
- Injuries: Significant road rash, broken finger
Both Jarvis and Cannon’s fortitude will be tested as the championship progresses, emphasizing the physical demands of the sport.
