In a completion of the third round of the Women’s Motocross (WMX) Championship, delayed by rain, riders faced a single practice and a decisive moto today at Thunder Valley.

Australian Charli Cannon led the field with a time of 2:24.983, closely followed by series points leader Lachlan Turner at 2:28.048, and Mikayla Nielsen clocking in at 2:31.599.

With conditions finally clear, the WMX riders took to the track for their moto after the second 250 Class race. Cannon secured a strong holeshot but was quickly challenged by Turner, who moved to the front. A fierce battle ensued, with Cannon and Turner exchanging positions early on.
In a dramatic turn on the final lap, Kyleigh Stallings attempted an inside pass on Nielsen, resulting in a collision that hindered both riders. This mishap allowed noteworthy competitor Jarvis to slip into third place. Turner crossed the finish line with a commanding lead of over eight seconds, followed by Cannon and Jarvis to secure a spot on the podium. Nielsen and Jamie Astudillo completed the top five.
