Asian Le Mans Series 2025/2026 Preview
The 2025/2026 Asian Le Mans Series is set to kick off at Sepang, Malaysia, in December, featuring three double-header weekends that promise a competitive entry list of LMP and GT machinery.
Currently, the LMP2 class is on track to meet or exceed last season’s record of 13 entries. Interest is strong from teams based in Asia and North America, with a significant number of European teams also expected to participate. Full-season European Le Mans Series (ELMS) teams are anticipated to augment the field, contingent on contract confirmations and compliance with driver ratings, specifically the requirement for at least one Bronze-rated driver.
Prominent teams such as Algarve Pro Racing and United Autosports have indicated they are nearing finalization of their plans for the series, among others from Europe.
In the LMP3 category, the entry list remains less defined but will likely showcase new 2025 models, while the GT3 class is expected to see substantial participation. The support from full-season ELMS teams, alongside continued interest from Asian-based teams and those from the SRO racing family, will bolster the GT field.
Sources suggest multiple teams are preparing to enter Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche machinery, with more confirmations anticipated in the weeks ahead.
Teams interested in competing in the Asian Le Mans Series may now register, with the deadline for full-season entries set for September 1 at 12 noon CEST.
