Cole Davies Set for AUS-X Open Debut in 2025
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — Cole Davies, the 17-year-old Kiwi and AMA Supercross Rookie of the Year, is confirmed to compete in the 2025 Boost Mobile AUS-X Open at Marvel Stadium on November 22. This event, marking a decade of the AUS-X Open, is anticipated to be one of the most significant Supercross events outside of the U.S.
Davies, hailing from Waitoki, New Zealand, had a standout rookie season in the U.S. 250cc West Coast AMA Supercross Championship with the Monster Energy Star Racing team. His return to Australia, where he began his Supercross journey, offers a unique opportunity to compete against top local and international talent in the SX2 (250cc) class.
“I’m genuinely excited to be lining up at the AUSX Open in Melbourne this November. It’s about as close to a home race as it gets for me,” Davies stated. “The AUSX Open has grown into one of those iconic events I’ve always wanted to be part of, and I’m stoked to give back to a community that’s supported me from the start.”
Davies joins a competitive lineup featuring renowned names like Jett and Hunter Lawrence, along with more elite contenders yet to be announced. AUSX Open Director Kelly Bailey emphasized the significance of Davies’ participation, noting, “Cole is one of the most promising young riders in world Supercross, and his return is a massive moment for fans across Australia and New Zealand.”
