Entry List Announced for 2025 Lone Star Le Mans
The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) is set to host the Lone Star Le Mans at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) from September 5-7, featuring a substantial entry list of 36 full-time cars.
AF Corse’s #83 Ferrari 499P, which claimed its inaugural victory at COTA last year, remains a strong contender. The team is currently positioned second in the Hypercar World Endurance Championship, trailing the factory #51 Ferrari of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi.
Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA arrives on the heels of a historic 1-2 finish at the 6 Hours of São Paulo, marking the first victory for the V-Series.R. The #12 entry led by Alex Lynn, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens will aim to capitalize on this momentum.
Several notable drivers return following their Formula E commitments. Peugeot TotalEnergies has reinstated Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne in the Peugeot 9X8. Toyota’s Sébastien Buemi will return in the #8 GR010-Hybrid, while Robin Frijns reclaims his position in the #20 BMW M Team WRT Hybrid V8.
Porsche Penske Motorsport will utilize three-driver lineups for their factory Porsche 963s. Matt Campbell rejoins Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor in the #6, with Mathieu Jaminet slated for the #5.
In the LMGT3 class, Ben Barnicoat returns to the Akkodis ASP Team’s #78 Lexus RC F LMGT3 after a recovery period from a mountain biking accident. He joins Arnold Robin and Finn Gehrsitz. Other returning drivers include Derek Deboer in the #10 Racing Spirit of Lemán Aston Martin and Timur Boguslavskiy in the #31 The Bend Team WRT BMW.
Currently, Manthey 1st Phorm’s #92 Porsche 911 LMGT3 R, featuring American driver Ryan Hardwick, leads the LMGT3 Endurance Trophy standings, followed by the #21 Vista AF Corse Ferrari and the #33 TF Sport Corvette.
For ticket information, including grandstand access starting at $79 USD, families can benefit from complimentary admission for children aged 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
