Louis Foster Aims for Rookie of the Year at Nashville Finale
Nashville, TN — Louis Foster will debut a striking black and gold livery on the No. 45 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Honda as he targets the Rookie of the Year title at the NTT IndyCar Series season finale this weekend at Nashville Superspeedway. The new color scheme coincides with the relaunch of Desnuda Tequila.
Foster reflects on his prior experience at Nashville, stating, “I’ve only raced here once before in Indy NXT. But it was a good weekend, and I ended up my championship-winning season with a win at the Nashville track.” He noted the unique challenges of the circuit, particularly the significant bump exiting Turn 4, describing it as “the main difficulty of the track.”
The driver further explained, “It’s a bit between St. Louis and Texas Motor Speedway… Our average speed is around 190 mph.” Despite the season’s rapid progression, Foster is focused on consolidating his lead in the rookie standings, currently eight points ahead of PREMA’s Robert Shwartzman.
This season has been highlighted by a pole position at Road America and multiple strong qualifying performances, marking Foster’s growth in navigating the complexities of IndyCar racing. “Qualifying has definitely been our strong suit this year… I’m planning to finish up the season by winning the Rookie of the Year championship this weekend,” he affirmed. With the title within reach, all eyes will be on Foster as the IndyCar season concludes in Nashville.
