SMX Playoffs Set to Conclude Supercross and Motocross Seasons
The SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) Playoffs kick off this weekend, marking the final phase of the AMA Supercross and Motocross calendar. This three-race series will dramatically influence the standings, awarding single event points at round one, double at round two, and triple at the finale.
As it stands, only the top 22 riders in both the 250SMX and 450SMX classes will qualify for championship bonuses, leaving those ranked 23rd and below without a payout.
In previous seasons, Haiden Deegan and Jett Lawrence have each secured their titles in the 250SMX and 450SMX divisions, respectively. Deegan’s championships yielded $500,000 each, while Lawrence’s victories were worth $1,000,000. Last year, runner-up Tom Vialle took home $250,000 in the 250SMX class, and Hunter Lawrence received $500,000 for second in the 450SMX.
