2025 IndyCar Series Finale at Nashville: FOX Records Significant Viewership Gains
The 2025 IndyCar Series concluded its season at Nashville Speedway, marking a successful debut for FOX as the broadcast partner. An average of 1,142,000 viewers tuned in to witness Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden claim the race victory, signaling a strong close to the season.
This figure reflects a substantial 136.7% increase from last year’s race, which attracted only 482,568 viewers on NBC. The Nashville race peaked at 1,338,000 viewers between 4:30 and 4:45 PM, effectively breaking a pattern of eight consecutive races that fell below the seven-digit viewer milestone. The previous race with over one million viewers occurred in June at the World Wide Technology Raceway, which averaged 1,012,000 viewers.
FOX Sports plans to provide a detailed analysis of the season’s viewership statistics in the coming weeks, hinting at further insights into the growing popularity of the series.
