Steller Motorsport to Field Corvette Z06 GT3.R in GT Open Finale
Steller Motorsport, representing British Corvette Racing, is set to participate in a one-off entry at the 2025 International GT Open finale at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on September 20-21. The team will enter its Z06 GT3.R, driven by Canadian siblings Daniel and Adam Ali.
Daniel Ali, aged 19, will team up with his older brother Adam, 21, who arrives with a strong background in endurance racing, including victories in the European Le Mans Series and multiple podiums in the LMP3 category. This outing not only marks Daniel’s debut in the GT Open series but also reunites the brothers on track for the first time since their karting days.
“I am very excited to compete in the International GT Open,” remarked Daniel. “I’ve driven at Barcelona many times, though never in a GT car. It’s going to be special to finally team up with my brother and also very useful for us as a team ahead of the GT World Challenge Europe finale at the same track.”
Adam shared a similar enthusiasm, stating, “The Corvette has been a strong platform worldwide since its debut season and I’m excited to drive it. Hopefully, we can enjoy some success at Barcelona, and of course, racing alongside my brother will be special for both of us.”
Steller Motorsport views this wildcard entry as a strategic opportunity to assess car performance under competitive conditions, having previously conducted significant preseason testing at Barcelona. Team manager Max Daymond expressed confidence in the team’s preparation: “Having prior circuit knowledge really helped us at Paul Ricard, where we scored a podium, so we’re optimistic for Barcelona and for the GTWC finale that follows.”
The Ali brothers’ collaboration and the team’s experience with Michelin tires are expected to provide a solid foundation for the weekend’s events.
