Cadillac Racing Strengthens Technical Team with Moore Appointment
Cadillac Racing has announced the appointment of Jeromy Moore as the chief engineer for its LMDh programs in both the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship. Moore arrives at Cadillac after a distinguished career, marked by over 18 years in the Australian Supercars Championship with Triple Eight Race Engineering, where he progressed from race engineer to technical director.
During his tenure in Supercars, Moore played a pivotal role in the homologation of the Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the 2023 season, showcasing his technical acumen. His extensive experience also includes a significant stint at Porsche, where he contributed to the RSR and LMP1 programs and was part of the team that secured the 2016 FIA WEC LMP1 World Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans victory.
Operating from General Motors’ Charlotte Technical Center, Moore will report to Mark Stielow, GM’s director of motorsports competition programs. Stielow emphasized the strategic value of Moore’s appointment, stating, “Jeromy brings extensive motorsports experience to the Cadillac Racing team, and we look forward to benefiting from his technical leadership. The moves reflect the level of resources and investment that GM is making in its global motorsports initiatives.”
Moore expressed enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “As a member of the Cadillac Racing team, I’ll apply my experience across vastly different programs to guide and complement the already strong team to help achieve our ultimate goals of success in Le Mans, across the WEC and IMSA series.”
Cadillac Racing heads into the concluding rounds of the IMSA and WEC seasons at Road Atlanta and Bahrain, having secured one victory in each series along with four combined pole positions this season.
