Lawrence Secures Top Finishes Amidst Injury; Stewart Dominates Race Weekend
In a weekend marked by resilience and impressive performances, Hunter Lawrence managed to secure top-five finishes across all three mains, despite dealing with bruising on his arm from a recent crash. Lawrence credited his Alpinestars helmet for mitigating potential injuries after a footpeg struck his head during the incident.
Conversely, it was Malcolm Stewart who demonstrated outstanding prowess throughout the event. Despite indicating earlier in the week that he felt underprepared, Stewart executed a commanding performance. “I am getting back into it!” he remarked post-race, emphasizing that this marked just his seventh day back on the bike. He noted that the track conditions, especially the whoops, suited him well and mentioned experimenting with new rhythms, notably a quad jump inspired by competitor Jett Lawrence.
Stewart also reflected on family legacy, recalling that his brother, James, claimed the King of Paris title 17 years ago, a poignant reminder of their longstanding impact in the sport.
This weekend’s races showcased both the skill and tenacity of the riders, highlighting the ongoing evolution and competitive spirit within the motorsports arena.
