Triarsi Competizione Unveils Strong GTD PRO Lineup for Rolex 24
Triarsi Competizione has confirmed its driver lineup for the upcoming Rolex 24 At Daytona, marking a significant entry into IMSA’s GTD PRO class with a focus on the Michelin Endurance Cup. This will be the Orlando-based team’s inaugural full-season campaign in the all-pro category.
The #033 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo will be piloted by a distinguished quartet: Ferrari factory drivers James Calado, Miguel Molina, and Alessio Rovera, alongside Italian competitor Riccardo Agostini. Calado, a two-time FIA Hypercar World Endurance Drivers’ Champion, claimed victory at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans with Ferrari AF Corse and secured GTD PRO honors at Daytona in 2024 with Risi Competizione. His teammate, Molina, also boasts a recent overall win at Le Mans in 2024 with the Ferrari Hypercar squad. Rovera made his mark as a class winner at Le Mans in 2021, and Agostini comes off a strong season, finishing second in the European Le Mans Series LMGT3 standings.
Team Principal Onofrio Triarsi expressed his enthusiasm: “This is the moment we’ve been building toward…being able to put this lineup together for our first Pro car is extraordinary. We have every reason to believe we can fight at the front from the very first lap at Daytona.”
Calado added, “Delighted to be returning to IMSA and the Rolex 24 with Triarsi Competizione…The new Evo is an absolute weapon, we have a proper lineup, and we all have the same goal – we want that watch.”
In addition to the GTD PRO effort, Triarsi Competizione will field the #023 Ferrari in the GTD class for the Michelin Endurance Cup races at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Road America, and Road Atlanta. The team recently experienced its first winning season, highlighted by a sprint race victory at Road America and a runner-up finish at VIRginia International Raceway.
