Simpson Joins Tower Motorsports for Rolex 24 at Daytona
Tower Motorsports has announced that Kyffin Simpson will join their driver lineup for the upcoming Rolex 24 at Daytona. The announcement was made via social media on Tuesday. The 21-year-old driver, who recently completed a notable second season in the IndyCar Series with Chip Ganassi Racing—including a first podium finish in Toronto—will race in the team’s No. 8 Oreca 07 Gibson alongside full-time drivers John Farano and Sébastien Bourdais, as well as endurance specialist Sebastian Alvarez.
Simpson returns to Tower Motorsports after participating in endurance events in 2023 and 2024, where he notably clinched a class victory at the Twelve Hours of Sebring in 2024, teaming with Farano and 2023 IndyCar competitor Scott McLaughlin. His impressive track record includes winning the 2023 European Le Mans Championship with Algarve Pro Racing, where he secured two wins and five podiums across six races.
Prior to this season, Simpson finished seventh in class and 48th overall at the 2024 Rolex 24, driving for DragonSpeed. This upcoming race marks a crucial opportunity for Simpson to demonstrate his growing experience and skill in endurance racing.
As Tower Motorsports stated, “Having all three back speaks to the foundation we’ve built, and we’re carrying that momentum straight into the Rolex 24.” The team looks to leverage this continuity to strengthen their performance at Daytona.
