Paul Miller Racing Adjusts Strategy for 2026 IMSA Season
Daytona Beach, FL – Paul Miller Racing (PMR) will return to the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with a streamlined one-car entry, the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO. The team has announced a new driver lineup focused on securing the GTD PRO title.
Connor De Phillippi joins Neil Verhagen for the full season, succeeding Madison Snow, who departed after nine years with PMR. Verhagen, now entering his third year with the team, has already achieved significant success, including his maiden IMSA victory last August at Road America.
De Phillippi comes off a successful tenure with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, where he contributed to the BMW M Hybrid V8’s inaugural win at Watkins Glen in 2023. This year, he secured the GT World Challenge America Pro title and secured a third-place finish at Sebring in the Michelin Endurance Cup with PMR. He also displayed his versatility by finishing second in LMP2 at Road America while substituting for an injured driver.
“I’m eager to contest the full IMSA season with Paul Miller Racing in 2026,” said De Phillippi, a renowned driver with wins in prestigious endurance races. “I believe we have a strong lineup capable of competing for the championship.”
Verhagen echoed this sentiment, expressing excitement over the new season and a wish to build on lessons learned from 2025. “Last year had many good moments, but there’s also room for improvement. I’m looking forward to working with Connor and our new engineer.”
While the No. 48 car will not continue, PMR’s young drivers—Max Hesse and Dan Harper—who claimed the 2025 Michelin Endurance Cup title, will participate in select endurance races. Hesse will join PMR for the Michelin Endurance Cup events, with Harper slated to complete the driver lineup at Daytona.
Harper is also set to race for Team WRT in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, marking a significant step in his career.
As PMR prepares for the upcoming season, all eyes will be on their revised lineup and strategy as they strive for their first overall title in GTD PRO.
