McGrath Reflects on Supercross Legacy During Kawasaki Photoshoot
Corona, California — Seven-time AMA Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath engaged with the next generation of riders during a recent Kawasaki Racing team photoshoot at the brand’s test track. McGrath, a pivotal figure who elevated supercross to mainstream prominence, expressed a mix of nostalgia and apprehension amidst the day’s activities.
“2026 Kawasaki photo shoot, right?” McGrath stated. “It’s always one of those nerve-racking days because I come out once a year for supercross photos like this and I’m riding with all of the kids,” he remarked, acknowledging the challenge of riding alongside younger competitors.
Discussing the advanced technology of today’s superbikes, McGrath commented, “The bikes these days are so gnarly and so fast… I have to make myself not do the whoops because I really want to do the whoops.” His candid revelations highlight both the thrill and the risks associated with riding supercross after years away from the sport’s intense competition.
McGrath’s involvement with Kawasaki extends beyond personal riding. He continues to support the brand through various initiatives, including hosting the show Kawasaki Science of Supercross. He also co-founded an E-bike company, 101 Bikes, showcasing his dedication to innovation within the sport.
Beyond racing, McGrath balances family life with supporting his wife’s home decor store and engaging in community activities. “I feel blessed that I don’t have to go to work 9-to-5,” he stated, sharing insights into his life after competitive racing, where he remains deeply connected to the supercross community.
As supercross prepares for the 2026 season, McGrath remains a respected figure whose influence continues to shape the sport.
