Max Anstie Eyes Success in 2026 AMA Supercross West Region
Max Anstie, the son of former MXGP competitor Mervyn Anstie, is poised to compete in the 2026 AMA Supercross West Region after spending recent years in the East. “I want to be in the West Region,” Anstie confirmed, expressing excitement about returning to iconic venues like Anaheim. However, he acknowledged that final decisions rest with his team management, including Bobby Regan and Gareth Swanepoel.
Anstie’s preparations for the season have been fruitful. “It’s been awesome,” he stated regarding his participation in the World Supercross Championship. The opportunity has allowed him to fine-tune both his physical conditioning and his bike, putting him in a strong position for the upcoming season. “We had the Red Plate last year, and now the goal is to get it and keep it,” he added, emphasizing confidence in his team’s performance.
His recent experiences include global exposure through races in countries like Australia and South Africa, where he also enjoyed quality time with his family. “It was cool to experience these different countries and go racing with my family,” he remarked.
Reflecting on his journey, Anstie shared his long-standing aspiration to compete in American supercross, a goal he has now realized. “I feel like I’m in a really solid spot in my career now,” he said, expressing satisfaction with his current trajectory. “I’m progressing and getting to my best self.” Anstie’s commitment and preparation position him as a competitive threat as the 2026 AMA Supercross season approaches.
