McAdoo Eyes Championship Recovery After Early Setback
San Diego, CA – After a challenging start to the 250SX West season, Cameron McAdoo remains determined to climb the standings following a strong performance at the latest round. Currently sitting tenth in the championship, McAdoo trails leader Haiden Deegan by 21 points, a gap he is poised to close as the series progresses.
Reflecting on his journey as an underdog, McAdoo commented, “I believe in myself… It’s on me to come back and be like, ‘I’m here. I’m here still.’ I plan to do a lot of racing these next few months.” His resolve showcases an unyielding commitment to performance despite media narratives that may overlook him.
In his previous race at Anaheim, McAdoo faced a collision with Deegan that affected his overall result. Addressing this incident, he stated, “I’m glad that I ended up totally okay… I’m really grateful that I got to come line up tonight and do my job again.”
Analyzing his performance, McAdoo acknowledged needing to refocus for the main event after a surprising heat race. “I felt like I was racing the leaders… I got caught out a bit… it was a very much so a racing incident,” he explained. He expressed intention to refine his technique, specifically in executing racing lines, ahead of the next round.
As the season unfolds, McAdoo’s persistence and strategic adjustments will be critical as he aims to reclaim lost ground in the 250SX West standings.
