Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki Updates on Kitchen’s Race Incident
The latest post-race report from Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki highlights a challenging event for rider Jett Kitchen during the last race, where he sustained a minor left arm injury. The injury occurred early in the main event when Justin Rodbell collided with Kitchen, who had already slid out. This unfortunate incident forced Kitchen to withdraw from the race for medical evaluation.
Kitchen recounted the race: “It was a little bit of a frustrating day. The speed is there, and I feel good on the bike, but a few small things kept setting me back. The crash in the heat race was unfortunate, and then in the main I slid out and my arm got hit in the mix. It didn’t feel great after that, so I pulled off, which was a bummer. The main thing is staying healthy so I can come back and fight in Houston,” he stated.
Despite a promising performance in qualifying and earlier heats, Kitchen’s results this season (6-4-21) place him ninth in the 250SX West Division standings. Meanwhile, his teammate Cameron McAdoo secured a fourth-place finish in the main event, maintaining sixth in the standings with a record of 22-2-4.
As the season progresses, both riders aim to leverage their speed while mitigating injury risks in upcoming races.
