Boutsen VDS Completes Driver Line-Up for 2026 GT World Challenge Europe
Boutsen VDS has finalized its driver roster for the upcoming 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, signing reigning Porsche Supercup champion Alessandro Ghiretti. The Italian driver joins Gilles Magnus and Robin Kutsson in the team’s #10 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), which will compete in the Gold Cup category.
Ghiretti’s introduction to the GT World Challenge Europe came during the 2022 Barcelona season finale, where he marked his debut with a ninth-place finish overall, driving for the Porsche outfit Schumacher CLRT.
“I am ultra-motivated,” stated Ghiretti. “The objective is clear: fight at the front, aim for podiums and, if opportunities arise, go for victories. This will be my first season in the GT World Challenge Europe and my first experience in endurance racing. There will be a lot to learn, but I am eager to take on this challenge.”
The #10 entry is part of a two-car lineup from Boutsen VDS, which also fields a #2 Pro entry featuring Dorian Boccolacci, Alessio Picariello, and Morris Schuring.
Recently, the team completed its initial testing phase with the new 992.2-spec Porsche 911 GT3 Rs at Zolder. Additional tests are scheduled at Circuit Paul Ricard, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and Portimão ahead of the season opener on April 10-11 at Circuit Paul Ricard.
This strategic driver addition and robust testing schedule underline Boutsen VDS’s commitment to a competitive campaign in the forthcoming season.
