Tower Motorsports Secures Vautier for 2026 IMSA Season
Tower Motorsports has announced the signing of veteran French driver Tristan Vautier for the remainder of the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Vautier will make his debut with the team at the upcoming Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, replacing Sebastien Bourdais, who has stepped away to focus on his commitments with Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
In a statement, Tower Motorsports expressed confidence in Vautier’s leadership and experience: “With Tristan’s experience and leadership, we are confident this is exactly what we need to hit the ground running at Sebring.” The team is optimistic about building on its past success as the season progresses.
Vautier returns to Sebring, where he secured his only IMSA victory in 2022 with JDC-Mustang Sampling Racing, driving the Cadillac DPi-V.R. Last year, he participated in two events with Proton Competition’s privateer Porsche 963 and later joined Acura Meyer Shank Racing for the Petit Le Mans. He has also been active in LMP2 competition in the Asian Le Mans Series and the European Le Mans Series.
As Tower Motorsports prepares for the challenges ahead in 2026, Vautier’s experience will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of endurance racing.
