Jonny Adam Returns to International GT Open with Blackthorn Racing
Jonny Adam, the distinguished Aston Martin Racing factory driver, has confirmed his return to the International GT Open for the first time in seven years, partnering with Blackthorn Racing for the 2026 season. The two-time Le Mans class winner and four-time British GT champion will drive the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo, sharing duties with teammate Charles Bateman, with the exception of the Portimão opener (April 17-19) and the Barcelona finale (October 16-18). At these events, Henrique Chaves, the 2020 GT Open champion, will substitute for Adam due to his commitments in FIA WEC’s 6 Hours of Imola and the GT World Challenge Europe.
Adam last competed in the GT Open in 2019, securing a dominant victory alongside partner Ollie Wilkinson. Since then, he returns with significant momentum and experience.
