Genesis GMR-001 Hypercar Makes Surprise Debut in Le Mans Ultimate
In an unexpected announcement, Genesis has introduced its GMR-001 Hypercar to Le Mans Ultimate as part of the Version 1.3 update. The vehicle is set to make its official racing debut at the FIA World Endurance Championship’s season opener, the 6 Hours of Imola, next month.
The GMR-001 is currently accessible to players via the single-player mode within the ‘2025 FIA WEC’ season. As of now, the game features only the #17 entry, driven by André Lotterer, Pipo Derani, and Mathys Jaubert, complete with the newly revealed livery from Genesis Magma Racing. The corresponding #19 entry will be added once its race livery is disclosed.
To celebrate the arrival of the GMR-001, the developers have launched the ‘Magma Flow’ Daily Race, which includes 45-minute races set at the challenging Spa-Francorchamps circuit. This event accommodates up to 44 competitors and is open to all players with a safety rank of Silver or higher.
This integration into the game highlights Genesis’ commitment to engaging the gaming community ahead of the real-world debut of their Hypercar.
