TF Sport Adjusts Driver Line-Up Ahead of 2026 FIA WEC Season
TF Sport has formally announced a last-minute change to its driver roster for the opening rounds of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), following an injury sustained by Ben Keating. The American Bronze-rated driver, recovering from a broken elbow due to a training incident, will miss the WEC Prologue at Imola on April 14 and the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in May. Keating aims to return for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
In his place, TF Sport has tapped Blake McDonald, another Bronze-rated American, as Keating’s replacement. McDonald, 35, recently finished second in the Pro/Am class of the GT World Challenge America and participated in TF Sport’s Asian Le Mans Series campaign. He is also set to compete in the upcoming European Le Mans Series, contributing to the team’s title defense in LMGT3.
“McDonald will join Jonny Edgar and Nicky Catsburg for the opening rounds of the 2026 FIA WEC season, while Keating will follow a recovery program,” stated TF Sport. The team expressed its best wishes for Keating’s swift recovery and looks forward to his return to competition.
With the official Prologue just weeks away, TF Sport is gearing up for what promises to be a competitive start to the season.
