FIA WEC 6 Hours of Imola: Broadcast and Viewing Information
The 6 Hours of Imola, taking place this weekend, marks a significant milestone as the inaugural FIA WEC event to be streamed on the newly launched FIAWEC+. This follows the service’s global introduction at last weekend’s European Le Mans Series opener.
Viewers can access the race via FIAWEC+, featuring English and French commentary options, alongside an option for no commentary. Access requires a 365-day pass or a race-specific pass. Notably, this is the first time the series offers a pay-per-view broadcast free from geo-restrictions, broadening accessibility for motorsports fans worldwide.
In conjunction with FIAWEC+, the race will also be televised in over 190 countries. The championship has secured several new television agreements over the off-season, including partnerships with Warner Bros. Discovery and beIN Sports. SPOTV has acquired rights in Korea and will have a reporter on-site to cover Genesis’ Hypercar debut.
Additionally, a new multi-year broadcasting agreement in the USA will see all eight races aired on HBO Max, with select events—Le Mans, Sao Paulo, and COTA—also available on truTV.
Support races throughout the weekend will be streamed on YouTube, featuring Legends of Le Mans on the Peter Auto channel and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland on its dedicated channel.
As the WEC evolves its broadcasting strategies, the 6 Hours of Imola promises to deliver an engaging viewing experience for both domestic and international audiences.
