Vincent Wey Withdraws from Philadelphia SX Finale Due to Injury
Vincent Wey has confirmed his withdrawal from the Philadelphia SX, part of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross SMX Next AMA National Championship. The second-generation racer sustained an injury after experiencing a “false neutral” and crashing during a recent race.
Wey announced his decision via Instagram, stating, “Yep, won’t be racing this weekend in Philadelphia. I ended up hitting false neutral off the finish line yesterday and ate it. I will be back in 4-6 weeks. Already working hard to get back ASAP. #senditfortheboys.”
Wey garnered attention in late March when he secured his first SMX Next race victory at the Birmingham SX SMX Next qualifying round, marking a significant milestone in his racing career. His absence this weekend opens the door for other competitors in the championship finale.
