AF Corse Announces Driver Line-ups for 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Finale
AF Corse has revealed its driver line-ups for the concluding round of the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, set for October 16-17 at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal. Three notable changes have been made to its Pro class entries, the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evos.
Due to scheduling conflicts with the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Barcelona, Ferrari drivers Nicklas Nielsen, Alessio Rovera, and Sean Gelael will miss the race, prioritizing their commitments in the WEC. Joining them in this decision are Augusto Farfus, Jules Gounon, Dan Harper, Daniel Juncadella, and Raffaele Marciello.
In the #50 Ferrari, Albert Costa Balboa replaces Gelael. Costa Balboa competed in GTWC Europe in a one-off event at Nürburgring in 2024 and will partner with regulars Arthur Leclerc and Lilou Wadoux.
The #51 Ferrari will feature an all-Italian line-up with Tommaso Mosca joined by Nicola Lacorte and Lorenzo Ferrari. This marks Lacorte’s debut in GTWC Europe, while Ferrari returns after making a one-off appearance for Tresor Attempto Racing at Monza earlier this season. Notably, Lacorte is also set to race at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in the Asian Le Mans Series for Cetilar Racing next February.
Additionally, AF Corse conducted a test session for its #90 499P Hypercar at Silverstone, showcasing a new blue livery.
The 2026 GT World Challenge season finale promises to be a competitive showdown as the team adjusts to these driver changes.
