Formula 1 Film Premiere Features Hans Zimmer’s Score and Lewis Hamilton’s Collaborations

In a significant crossover of motorsports and cinema, Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer has crafted the score for the forthcoming Formula 1 movie, set to premiere globally on June 25, followed by a North American release on June 27. The film, headlined by Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time F1 world champion, serves as an executive producer and has played a pivotal role in influencing both the film’s narrative and Zimmer’s score. "So much of the inspiration came from my conversations with Lewis. I attribute a lot of what I was doing to him," Zimmer explained, acknowledging Hamilton’s profound impact during their collaboration.

Hamilton, who met Zimmer in 2020, described the encounter as "an incredible opportunity" and noted the composer’s legendary contributions to film music, highlighting his motivation from their discussions.

The film’s red carpet premiere attracted a mixture of current F1 drivers and team principals, underscoring the industry’s interest in the project. As anticipation builds, the film promises to blend the thrilling world of motorsport with cinematic storytelling, making it a pivotal moment for both F1 and cinema enthusiasts.
