Isack Hadjar Discusses Lewis Hamilton and Ayrton Senna
In a recent appearance on the Beyond The Grid podcast, Racing Bulls driver Isack Hadjar expressed his profound admiration for two giants of Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton and Ayrton Senna. Hadjar characterized Hamilton as the "best driver of all time" due to his exceptional race pace and strategic acumen during races.
“I think it’s all about his race pace—how he can start from the back and battle with drivers who qualify ahead of him,” Hadjar noted. He highlighted Hamilton’s unique driving style, particularly his ability to navigate traffic and manage dirty air effectively. “If there’s a train of DRS cars, he finds a way to maintain a gap to the car ahead,” Hadjar added.
Conversely, Hadjar declared Senna as "the fastest driver of all time," emphasizing his unparalleled qualifying speed in varying conditions. “Ayrton is definitely the fastest. Whether it is rain, dry, or mixed conditions, it’s always Ayrton,” he stated.
In a tribute to Senna, Hadjar donned a Senna-inspired helmet for the Monaco Grand Prix this year. He recalled discovering Senna’s legacy through documentaries and films, expressing a deep emotional connection to the Brazilian icon. "When I learned about his story, I was completely broken,” Hadjar reflected, sharing how Senna’s influence shaped his aspirations in motorsport.
This discussion underscores the enduring impact of both drivers on a new generation of racers, with Hadjar representing the blend of admiration and aspiration that defines Formula 1’s evolving landscape.
