Documentary on Damon Hill Set to Premiere
A new documentary titled Hill, chronicling Damon Hill’s journey from tragedy to triumph, is scheduled to debut on July 2 on Sky Documentaries. The film explores Hill’s life following the loss of his father, Graham Hill, a two-time Formula 1 champion, who died in a plane crash. It traces Damon’s own path to success, culminating in his championship win in 1996.
The film highlights the emotional highs and lows of Hill’s career, examining the personal and professional challenges he faced, including his perception that his team, Williams, did not fully support him in his title quest.
Hill joins presenter James Allen and Sky Sports F1’s Simon Lazenby, whose production company Sylverent produced the film, for discussions about its themes. Autosport’s Editor-in-Chief, Kevin Turner, will also participate in the dialogue.
Hill is not just an underdog story; it captures the complex dynamics of loss and resilience that define the life of a world champion.
