Lando Norris Reviews F1 Movie Ahead of Monaco GP
At a private screening on the eve of the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, McLaren’s Lando Norris shared his insights on the upcoming Formula 1 film featuring Brad Pitt. Displaying his signature humor, Norris remarked, "I was brilliant in it and that was the main thing!" He further elaborated on the movie’s storyline, citing it as "inspirational" and a meaningful narrative for young entrants into motorsports.
The film incorporates real footage from F1 weekends, capturing the essence of the sport as Pitt and co-star Damson Idris interact with actual teams during Grand Prix events. Their fictional team, APXGP, showcases the competitive atmosphere of F1 alongside cameos from several drivers.
Discussing his role, Norris revealed, “I’m definitely not Hollywood… I like driving my car and going home, but being part of this production has been special.” He acknowledged his limited presence in the film but expressed excitement regarding its production and narrative.
The screening included almost all drivers, with only Max Verstappen and Lance Stroll absent. This project represents three years of collaboration with Formula 1 and is poised for a global release on June 25, followed by showings in the United States and Canada on June 27.
As anticipation builds, the F1 community and fans alike look forward to the film’s debut, which promises to highlight the sport’s thrilling environment and compelling stories.
