Miami Grand Prix: Hamilton Addresses Ferrari Struggles

Miami, FL — Lewis Hamilton faced a challenging media engagement ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, where he was unexpectedly questioned about his friend David Beckham’s 50th birthday. Although taken aback, Hamilton used the opportunity to highlight Beckham’s impressive post-football career, reflecting on his career as he approaches his own twilight in Formula 1.

After moving to Ferrari for the 2025 season, Hamilton’s results have faltered, with the veteran driver managing only a single sprint race victory in Shanghai amid ongoing difficulties. Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher has suggested that Hamilton consider retirement if his performance does not improve.

“I’ve got improving my form at Ferrari front and center in my mind,” Hamilton stated during the media session, despite his upcoming role as co-chair of the Met Gala.

Hamilton acknowledged the pressures of his new environment but remains focused on the task ahead. “The team’s been well. Lots of changes are ongoing, and everyone’s been supportive. I appreciate that.”

One notable personal challenge has been adjusting to life in Italy. “I’m trying to stay off the pizzas and pasta, but I’ve had three pizzas in two days,” he admitted. He expressed his love for Maranello and hopes to spend more time there through the season, even as he juggles commitments far from the track.

As Hamilton navigates this transition, his ongoing pursuit of excellence remains clear as he prepares for the challenges at the Miami Grand Prix.
