Hamilton Shows Off Ducati V4 at Canadian Grand Prix
Montreal, Canada – Lewis Hamilton captured attention this Saturday at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, arriving on a Ducati Panigale V4 superbike. The motorcycle is equipped with a potent 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, delivering approximately 215 horsepower and 120.9 Nm of torque. With a lightweight design of 187 kg, it accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
The Panigale V4 is a testament to Ducati’s engineering excellence, featuring advanced electronics such as Ducati Wheelie Control, Slide Control, and a Data Logger system, designed to enhance the riding experience.
Hamilton’s use of the V4 follows his appearance at the Monaco Grand Prix on a custom MV Agusta F4 LH44, limited to just 44 units, underscoring his passion for high-performance vehicles.
Interestingly, while the red Ducati resembles Hamilton’s Scuderia Ferrari, it operates under the Volkswagen Group, which plans to enter F1 as a works team in 2026 through Audi.
In terms of practice results, Hamilton finished fourth in FP3 after overcoming a challenging Friday, where he struggled for balance. In contrast, Charles Leclerc, who missed FP2 due to car repairs after an earlier crash, managed a strong second-fastest time behind McLaren’s Lando Norris.
Hamilton’s confidence appears to be building, a notable shift from his previous remarks about his performance in Spain being “the worst race I’ve had, balance-wise.”
The Canadian Grand Prix promises to be an exciting race as teams adjust their strategies ahead of qualifying and the main event.
