Red Bull Junior Arvid Lindblad Tests AT04 at Imola

Imola, Italy – Rising star Arvid Lindblad has made significant strides in his Formula 1 career by testing the Racing Bull AT04 at Imola. The 17-year-old, who recently received his F1 superlicence from the FIA, shared testing duties with fellow Red Bull junior Ayumu Iwasa during the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix’s test session.

Lindblad, piloting the AT04 in the morning, followed a structured testing program that included two incidents at the Variante Alta chicane. “This test marks a critical step in my preparations for a future in F1,” Lindblad stated, highlighting the experience gained from driving a car with fewer restrictions compared to previous outings.

This session is part of Red Bull’s broader strategy as Lindblad is expected to make his FP1 debut later this season, with two rookie sessions still available for the Racing Bulls. Isack Hadjar has already covered the initial two rookie outings, while Iwasa participated in one session for the main Red Bull team.

Lindblad’s successful preparation follows a dominant season in the Formula Regional Oceania series and a recent first win in the F2 feature race in Spain. He currently stands third in the F2 championship, trailing McLaren junior Alex Dunne and veteran Richard Verschoor.

As Red Bull continues to innovate and evaluate its junior talent, Lindblad’s development is closely monitored as he positions himself as a potential future contender in the sport.
