Title: Max Verstappen Open to Sebastian Vettel Taking On Advisory Role at Red Bull

Max Verstappen, the reigning four-time Formula 1 world champion, has expressed his support for former teammate Sebastian Vettel to join Red Bull Racing in an advisory capacity. This comes in light of Vettel’s recent discussions with Helmut Marko regarding the potential succession of Marko’s role by 2026.

In an interview with Austrian broadcaster ORF, Vettel confirmed, "We’re in contact about this… but maybe not so intensively or in-depth yet. What form that might take will have to be seen." He emphasized the importance of continuing Marko’s legacy, stating, “I wish him all the best so that he stays around for a very long time."

Verstappen, who mirrored Vettel’s success with four consecutive titles at Red Bull, remarked, "It’s more than normal that someone that has achieved so much with Red Bull… that in a sense there’s always a spot available." He highlighted the strong relationship between Vettel and Marko, suggesting that there’s always "a space for Seb in any kind of form.”

Marko, who has been pivotal in Red Bull’s development since its inception in 2005, has yet to finalize his plans regarding retirement. He stated, "The question of succession is one of those questions… and there are plenty of people who want to follow." He noted that the successor must meet high standards set by Red Bull’s ownership.

This dialogue between key figures emphasizes Red Bull’s strategic foresight regarding its team structure as it heads into the 2026 season. The outcome is yet to unfold, but both Verstappen’s and Vettel’s involvement could shape Red Bull’s future direction within the sport.
