Katharina Nowak Appointed President of Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix

Katharina Nowak has been appointed as the President of the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix, succeeding Tyler Epp, who has left the position for a new opportunity. At just 28 years old, Nowak is not only the youngest president of a Formula 1 event but also one of only two women currently holding such a role globally.

Nowak previously served as Vice President of Business Operations for the event, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing the Grand Prix’s operational framework since joining the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium enterprise in 2019. Under her leadership, the Miami GP has focused on fostering strategic partnerships, streamlining organizational collaboration, and innovating fan experiences.

Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix, praised Nowak’s talents, stating, “She is one of the most talented young executives I’ve been around, and I know she will continue to build on what has been established… I also want to thank Tyler for his leadership.”

Nowak, originally from Vienna, Austria, holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Loyola University Chicago. She expressed enthusiasm about her new role, stating, “We will continue to deliver an exceptional event for our stakeholders, with elite on-track action and fan-first experience at the center of all we do.”

Nowak’s appointment signifies a significant commitment to maintaining the Grand Prix’s upward trajectory, promising continued innovation and excellence in future events.
