Monte Carlo – Esteban Ocon has offered a commendable review of the forthcoming Formula 1 film, directed by Joseph Kosinski, which features Lewis Hamilton as an executive producer. The film was previewed by a select group of F1 drivers in a private screening prior to the Monaco Grand Prix, garnering significant attention within the paddock.
Ocon expressed enthusiasm about the film’s immersive driving sequences, noting, "The scenes with them driving the cars are fantastic. We’ve never seen that level of realism before, particularly in races like Daytona, which featured excellent battles."
However, the Haas driver also highlighted inconsistencies from a driver’s perspective, stating, "While there are parts that resonate with us, some decisions skewed towards Hollywood flair for broader appeal."

I wish it had focused more on racing and less on crash sequences. Nonetheless, it remains the best racing movie to date, promising to be a major success."

Regarding how racing purists might react, Ocon noted, "True racing fans will appreciate the film’s effort, but may critique some unrealistic aspects. However, it is the closest representation of a racing movie to reality that I have encountered."
