IMSA Sanctioned Test: Daytona Entry List Announced
Daytona International Speedway will host the IMSA Sanctioned Test from November 14-16, featuring a robust provisional entry list of 38 cars. The test marks a crucial opportunity for teams to evaluate their performance ahead of the upcoming racing season.
GTP Entries: All 11 GTP entries will be in attendance, with particular attention on the BMW M Team WRT’s two redesigned M Hybrid V8s. Drivers for the No. 24 and No. 25 BMWs include Robin Frijns, René Rast, Kevin Magnussen, Dries Vanthoor, Marco Wittmann, and Philipp Eng.
Cadillac and Acura Updates: Both Cadillac and Acura will debut updated versions of their prototypes. Cadillac Whelen and Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing will showcase the V-Series.R, featuring drivers Connor Zilisch and Colton Herta. Meanwhile, AJ Allmendinger will take the wheel of the updated Acura ARX-06 with Acura Meyer Shank Racing.
Porsche Involvement: The Porsche Penske Motorsport team will test its two 963s, driven by PPM regulars Matt Campbell, Felipe Nasr, and Julien Andlauer, alongside IndyCar drivers Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin.
LMP2 and GTD Pro Entries: Ten ORECA 07-Gibson LMP2s are confirmed, with notable drivers Jeremy Clarke, Tom Dillmann, and Bijoy Garg confirmed for Inter Europol Competition’s No. 43. The new-look Bryan Herta Autosport with PR1/Mathiasen will see drivers Ben Keating, Misha Goikhberg, Parker Thompson, and Tristan Vautier.
New Models on Display: The test will feature the first appearances of several new models, including the Lamborghini Temerario GT3, Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO, Ford Mustang GT3 Evo, and Porsche 911 GT3 R. Pfaff Motorsports will run the Temerario GT3 ahead of its GTD PRO debut at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
Additional Entries: Other notable participants include Vasser Sullivan Racing with two Lexus RC F GT3s, Paul Miller Racing with the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO, and Magnus Racing’s No. 44 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, with a driver lineup including John Potter and Spencer Pumpelly.
