Heart of Racing Team Launches 2026 IMSA Season at Rolex 24 At Daytona

The Heart of Racing Team commences its 2026 IMSA campaign at the 64th annual Rolex 24 At Daytona, featuring a dual-class effort with the No. 23 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH competing in GTP and the No. 27 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo in GTD.

Competing as Aston Martin THOR Team in the GTP division, the lineup for the No. 23 Valkyrie includes full-season drivers Ross Gunn and Roman de Angelis. They will be joined by Alex Riberas for the Michelin Endurance Cup’s longest races, including Daytona, Sebring, and Petit Le Mans, along with Marco Sørensen for the Rolex 24.

Gunn emphasized the team’s progress, stating, “2025 was a year of learning, growth, and relentless improvement with the Valkyrie. I’m determined to get back to Daytona and continue the form we showed at the end of 2025 and fight for a win.”

The No. 27 Vantage GT3 welcomes Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello for the full season, replacing Casper Stevenson. Barrichello, son of F1 veteran Rubens Barrichello, will team with Tom Gamble, Zacharie Robichon, and Mattia Drudi at Daytona. He recently transitioned from a successful WEC campaign, where he achieved two LMGT3 pole positions.

Barrichello expressed his enthusiasm: “It’s always been a dream of mine to race in IMSA. To get to do it with such an iconic team is something I never thought possible.”

Gamble, who previously finished third in GTD at Daytona, is optimistic about the coming season: “We have the tools to do the job and I’m excited to see what myself and Dudu can achieve.”

As the Heart of Racing Team gears up for this pivotal season, both drivers and management are aimed at leveraging their experience and momentum to contend for top results.
