Nico Müller Joins Porsche for Sebring 12 Hours Debut

Sebring, FL — Nico Müller, the newly appointed Porsche factory driver, is set to make his sportscar debut this weekend at the Sebring 12 Hours, a key event in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Müller, who transitions from Peugeot’s World Endurance Championship (WEC) program, will race the customer 963 LMDh entry fielded by JDC-Miller MotorSports alongside full-season drivers Gianmaria Bruni and Tijmen van der Helm.

This race marks Müller’s second outing in IMSA, following a prior appearance in the 2022 Daytona 24 Hours. His participation at Sebring positions him as a strong contender for a potential seat alongside Nick Tandy and Felipe Nasr in the third factory Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 for the upcoming Le Mans 24 Hours.

Reflecting on his new role, Müller described the opportunity as a “last-minute project” and expressed eagerness to experience the iconic race. “I can’t wait to turn my first laps in the Porsche 963 and compete in my first prestigious Sebring 12 Hours,” Müller stated. His previous experience at the Sebring circuit, including running with Vector Sport, has him optimistic about adapting quickly with the support of his new team.

JDC-Miller’s team principal, John Church, highlighted the confidence in their lineup following a solid performance at Daytona, where the team secured sixth place. “Adding Nico to our already strong driver line-up with Tijmen and Gimmi builds on our momentum,” Church commented, thanking Porsche for facilitating the arrangement.

As Porsche reduces its LMDh roster from ten to eight drivers for the 2025 season, Müller’s performance at Sebring could be crucial in securing his future with the brand.
