Tower Motorsports Reveals 2026 Rolex 24 Line-Up Following Disqualification Controversy

In a bid to reclaim their position in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Tower Motorsports has announced its driver line-up for the 2026 Rolex 24 At Daytona, following a controversial disqualification in 2025.

Owner and driver John Farano will return to pilot the No. 8 ORECA 07-Gibson, accompanied by a formidable cast including 2014 Daytona overall winner Sébastien Bourdais and emerging talent Sebastian Alvarez. The team will also see the return of Kyffin Simpson, an NTT IndyCar Series driver, marking his first appearance with Tower since 2023, when he excelled during the Michelin Endurance Cup and triumphed at the Twelve Hours of Sebring.

The team’s 2025 campaign was marred by post-race scrutiny that stripped it of its Daytona victory due to a plank wear violation. Despite this setback, they rebounded with a second-place finish at Sebring, which remained their best result for the season amidst a series of underwhelming performances.

Bourdais’ participation will mark his 17th stint at the Rolex 24, adding valuable experience as he concurrently embarks on his second season in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA. Simpson, after a transition from the European Le Mans Series to Chip Ganassi Racing in IndyCar, will reunite with Alvarez for his fourth Rolex 24 appearance.

As they prepare for the 2026 season, Tower Motorsports aims to rectify past misfortunes and reestablish their competitive edge in endurance racing.
