Van der Steur Racing Announces Endurance Cup Line-Up for IMSA Season
Van der Steur Racing (VDSR) has confirmed its driver roster for the Michelin Endurance Cup in the upcoming 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, featuring a returning core of talent. Rory van der Steur and Aston Martin factory driver Valentin Hasse Clot will pilot the No. 19 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo. The confirmation follows IMSA’s release of the provisional entry list for the prestigious 64th Rolex 24 At Daytona.
In 2023, VDSR entered its first full season in IMSA following several successful years in the Michelin Pilot Challenge. Last season, van der Steur and Hasse Clot, alongside Anthony McIntosh, achieved a commendable sixth-place finish at the Rolex 24, showcasing their growing competitiveness.
This year, McIntosh will be replaced by 25-year-old Sébastien Baud as the team’s third endurance driver. Baud arrives with significant experience, having raced in the FIA World Endurance Championship LMGT3 class for TF Sport and United Autosports, where he secured a second-place finish in his inaugural race for United.
Baud’s transition to IMSA marks a pivotal moment for VDSR as the team seeks to build on its inaugural performance and deliver stronger results in the upcoming endurance series.
