Dixon Snatches Victory from Palou at Honda Indy 200
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, July 6, 2025 – In a thrilling finale at the Honda Indy 200, Scott Dixon capitalized on a late mistake by his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Alex Palou to secure victory, marking his second win of the season.
Palou, who started from pole position after a dominant performance in qualifying, led the race for the majority of its duration. Despite his commanding pace and strategic pit stops, Palou’s race took a dramatic turn with just six laps remaining. In a costly error, he ran wide in Turn 9, allowing Dixon to slip by and take the lead.
“It was just a stupid mistake,” Palou reflected post-race. “I lost it a little on entry and couldn’t get power going.”
