Barnhart and Sagan Depart Arrow McLaren for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing

Brian Barnhart and Kyle Sagan have transitioned from Arrow McLaren to Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL). Barnhart, a seasoned figure in IndyCar, previously held roles with Harding Racing, Andretti Global, and Arrow McLaren, where he served as General Manager. Now, he assumes the role of Senior VP of Operations at RLL, reuniting with former IndyCar President Jay Frye.

In addition to his management responsibilities, Barnhart will take on the pivotal position of race strategist for Graham Rahal, driving the No. 15 Honda. RLL, aiming to enhance its performance in the IndyCar Series, has also welcomed Sagan, who will serve as their Pit Stop Manager. Sagan’s prior experience includes a successful tenure with Chip Ganassi Racing, where he contributed to the team’s championship-winning effort with Alex Palou before joining Arrow McLaren to refine its pit stop strategy.

RLL’s lineup includes Graham Rahal and new Rookie of the Year Louis Foster, leading a three-car operation. The team evaluated former Formula 1 driver Mick Schumacher in recent testing, reflecting their intent to bolster the performance of their third entry, which has struggled since its full-time debut in 2022.
