Ferrucci Withdrawn from Honda Indy Toronto After Morning Crash
Santino Ferrucci will not compete in the Honda Indy Toronto following a significant crash during the morning warm-up session. The No. 14 AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet sustained extensive damage, prompting team president Larry Foyt to withdraw the entry from the event.
"We faced an unfortunate incident this morning before the race," Foyt stated. "The damage is pretty extensive, and we decided as a team to focus on preparing for Laguna rather than rush repairs today. Santino has also injured his hand slightly, so it’s best for him to rest and recover."
Ferrucci was positioned 10th in the Drivers’ Championship standings prior to the race and had qualified in 23rd for the 90-lap event. The team is set to regroup for the next race in Laguna, aiming for a stronger performance.
