IndyCar Practice Session Canceled Due to Fog at Laguna Seca

IndyCar’s scheduled practice session at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca was abruptly canceled this morning due to dense fog limiting visibility and air ambulance access. The session, set to start at 8:30 a.m., was paused to ensure safety before ultimately being called off around 9:45 a.m.

The location’s topography often results in fog delays, making the early morning slot particularly vulnerable. Teams remained in the pit lane while officials assessed conditions. Given the typical weather patterns, a shift of the scheduled Sunday warmup to later in the day is likely, following qualifying from 11:35 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This cancellation reflects the ongoing challenges that weather can pose in the motorsports calendar, particularly at coastal venues like Laguna Seca. Further updates will be provided as conditions develop.
