Juncos Hollinger Racing Faces Tough Weekend and Transit Challenges

Iowa – Juncos Hollinger Racing’s (JHR) driver Sting Ray Robb experienced a disappointing doubleheader in Iowa, finishing 22nd on Saturday and 23rd on Sunday after a serious crash damaged the No. 77 Chevrolet.

Compounding the team’s struggles, the transporter carrying Robb’s car and vital equipment caught fire en route to their Indianapolis shop. Early assessments revealed the loss of critical components, including two vehicles and the fuel rig, leading to an urgent rebuild effort as they prepare for a tight schedule ahead of the Toronto race weekend.

“After an early retirement for the No. 77 car, our hauler caught fire on I-74,” JHR stated. “It was a scary moment for the team, but thankfully, everyone is safe. We’re grateful for the overwhelming support from fans, fellow teams, and the racing community.”

Robb currently ranks 24th in the Drivers’ Championship, with the No. 77 entry sitting 23rd among entrants—one spot shy of the critical top-22 cutoff necessary to secure a $1 million Leaders Circle contract for the 2026 season. With five rounds remaining, JHR faces a pivotal stretch as they work to recover from these setbacks.
