Meyer Shank Racing Unveils Final Livery Inspired by Metallica Ahead of Nashville Race

Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) has announced its final custom livery for the 2023 IndyCar season, featuring a striking design inspired by the legendary metal band Metallica. The No. 60 MSR Honda, driven by Felix Rosenqvist, will debut this livery at Nashville Speedway, marking a vibrant conclusion to a year of band-themed wraps.

The "Maximum Metallica" design celebrates the launch of Metallica’s year-round SiriusXM channel and draws inspiration from the band’s iconic 1984 album, Ride the Lightning. This follows previous liveries honoring the Grateful Dead and Ozzy Osbourne, showcasing MSR’s innovative approach to team branding.

Mike Shank, co-owner of MSR, remarked, “We’ve had some really successful collaborations with SiriusXM this season, and they’ve truly resonated with the fans. It’s been incredible to see the excitement around each new livery and musical tribute. Wrapping up the year with Metallica feels like the perfect encore.”

As the IndyCar season nears its conclusion, the Metallica livery not only highlights MSR’s commitment to fan engagement but also serves as a notable farewell to an exciting season. The Nashville event promises to attract significant attention, further enhancing the team’s visibility and appeal.
