Will Power to Make Sports Car Racing Debut at Indianapolis 8 Hour

Two-time IndyCar champion Will Power is set to enter the world of sports car racing, making his debut at the upcoming Indianapolis 8 Hour. Power will drive the No. 75 Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the 75 Express team alongside owner-driver Kenny Habul and Supercars star Chaz Mostert. This partnership draws on a longstanding friendship and past rivalry from their days in the Australian Formula Ford Championship.

Originally scheduled to start his GT career at the 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona, Power’s participation was postponed due to personal commitments, specifically to support his wife, Liz, during a medical procedure. The Indianapolis 8 Hour offers him an opportunity to engage in GT racing as he awaits his transition to Andretti Global’s No. 26 Honda IndyCar, taking over from Colton Herta following his departure from Team Penske.

Power’s credentials include five victories on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, underscoring his competitive pedigree as he enters this new chapter in his racing career.
