IndyCar’s Bommarito Automotive Group 500 Sees Viewer Surge

IndyCar’s primetime debut on FOX for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway attracted an average of 1,012,000 viewers. This marked a significant 95.7 percent increase from the 517,191 viewers who tuned in for the 2024 WWTR race on NBC’s USA cable channel.

Despite the strategic shift to an 8 PM ET broadcast aimed at maximizing viewer engagement, the race saw a slight dip compared to the Detroit Grand Prix, which garnered 1,061,000 viewers in its Sunday afternoon slot on June 1.

Overall, viewership across the first eight races of the 2024 season has averaged 2,007,000 on FOX, reflecting a 27 percent increase from the 1,577,000 viewers reported in the previous year.

Andretti Global’s Kyle Kirkwood emerged victorious in this highly competitive event, further enhancing the excitement surrounding IndyCar’s growing audience draw this season.
