Upcoming SMX Next Scouting Moto Combine at RedBud MX

The second of three SMX Next – Motocross Scouting Moto Combine events is set to take place this Friday, coinciding with the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. The event at RedBud MX over the Fourth of July weekend will showcase emerging talent in the sport, providing fans and industry professionals a chance to glimpse the future stars of motocross.

Kayden Minear, who claimed victory at the Hangtown Motocross Classic in late May with a dominant 1-1 performance aboard his Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing bike, will miss this weekend’s event due to a thumb injury. Minear transitioned to the professional ranks at the Thunder Valley National but will be sidelined as he recovers.

Last year at RedBud MX, Landen Gordon, who finished second in the Scouting Moto Combine after leading most of the race, experienced a heartbreaking crash in the final turn. Drew Adams, who has since turned pro, secured the moto win, although inclement weather resulted in the cancellation of the second moto.

The roster for the upcoming Combine features both A and B class riders, reflecting a broad age spectrum in the sport. Notable participants include:

  • Austin Schafer
  • Brock Walker
  • Carson Wood
  • Christopher Schroeder
  • Deacon Denno
  • Diesel Thomas
  • Enzo Temmerman
  • Jayce Wolf
  • Jeremy Fappani
  • Landen Gordon
  • Kade Johnson

For those attending, the tentative schedule for the day’s events is available, ensuring all participants and fans are well-prepared for this key scouting opportunity.
